Analysis of Forever Gone

Tammy Moehle 1971 (Fort Wayne, IN)

You're gone from me now
you're in heaven above
you have left me here all alone
even though we shared such a special love
I'll cry for you every day
and I'll dream of you every night
for I feel like when we were together
my spirit, why, it felt as free as a kite!
Flying so high up in the air
with such a great and glorious glee
My love how can you not know by now
you meant more than anything in this world to me!
I'm going to miss you forever
my love will never, ever die
it was so very, very difficult
To have to tell you good-bye!

About this poem

I wrote this poem a long time ago it now seems to help me deal with my grieving. I found that the writing of poems allowed me to develop an outlet for expressing my most honest, deepest feelings and continue to utilize poetry to this day for that very therapeutic purpose in life.
