Analysis of The Lonely Leaf
The Lonely Leaf
Leaves tumble to the ground,
then they dry and crackle,
as we crunch them with our shoes.
A neat array of crimson leaves lay,
with a riot of red, gold and brown,

Exhausted leaves drop to the ground below,
to wait, like children for the snow,
At last, autumn retreats,
leaves start to disappear one by one.
Until only one leaf left...
