Analysis of Inspiration From A Son

Inspiration From a Son

You gave me a choice.
One I had no choice but to take.
One I knew I would achieve, no matter what it takes.

You promised to go to college,
But only if I went back before you.
You want me to achieve my dreams, as much as you.

We even pinky swore.
I remember the discussion even to this day.
It may have taken me a while,
But you my son are my inspiration.

You have shown me what true strength is.
Unconditional love and understanding.
You, my dear son, are more precious to me than you will ever know.
