Analysis of Broken
Amanda East 1976 (Ogden)
Aching is curiously sharp, deep, and astounding
Oh, the despair with each enchanted pounding!
Would you believe broken feels physical pain?
My spirit passively shut, imprisoned from raging.
Oh, the defeat, the consequences are still waging.
Teacher, what will this ruthless lesson gain?
Loneliness is piercingly sad, unknown, and unmoving.
Oh, the sorrow is an unbearable proving.
What is intimacy when love is inane?
