Analysis of The Greatest Trophy a Kid Could Ask For

I've spent countless minutes traveling through my thoughts
the possibilities are practically endless
the simplicity of a mug at face value
the true nuance and  ingenuity lying deep within
the bottomless pit that is a mug's purpose
the one word that flips my perspective inside out

now what lies inside is a mystery for another time
now I ask myself what it could be Calibri maybe lobster
now the font size, 11's shy, but 24's a little over the top
now 16-18 that's what I want

I search far and low for answers, but still I wonder
I wonder if poetry.com would be formal
I wonder if it'll be eggshell white maybe jet black
I wonder if poetry.com would be wild
I wonder if it'll be neon green maybe hot pink

I've spent one countless hour trying to tell you my
thoughts
the fascination I have with mugs isn't irrational, it's
PERSONALIZED the idea of me writing impacted a mug
now I'm running out of ways to talk about mugs
I wonder if I'll achieve my aspiration

About this poem

I wrote this poem because, ever since I was 15 and went to look on poetry.com for a poem that my school demanded I read, I had a new feeling emerge I hadn't fully realized it yet, but that's when I first saw it. Poetry.com was giving away *free* mugs, but that's not all, these mugs they were personalized mugs the greatest mugs known to man. So ever since 13 minutes ago it's become my life's goal to take a sip from one of these perfectly crafted cups (I'm saying cups, but obviously mugs are better because you get a handle and I would never purposely slander personalized mugs). PS. In the unlikely world I win a cash prize I would like to ask if any staff members could take some of the money and throw in a personalized mug.

Cayden "mug enthusiast" Rubalcada

I got my first mug when I was 6, and have been collecting wacky and zany mugs ever since. Despite being only 15 I've collected over 1000 mugs (I travel a lot), but one of the few kinds of mugs I haven't collected yet is a personalized mug. Also my self portrait isn't 100% accurate, It looks like I'm balding but I'm not. more…
