Analysis of Caged In The Open
Is it really for herself that she lives?
I think not.
Her mind dreams of no freedom
and her heart- no peace
Will it ever end?
The unseen dominant hand-
Pressing on her salvation
Does it ever stop?
The very invincible shackles that bind her words to speak,
her voice to cry,
her hands to stretch,
her feet to venture the paths of her own life.
She breathes every breath with fear
She drowns in the hopelessness of a non-existent future-
Rid of powerlessness.
Those who surround her, smile with pride
Where is hers?
Where is her pride?
How sweet it must be to choose-
To choose the ones you love,
Those to share moments with,
Who to talk to,
Who to hold hands with, who to laugh with
Who to live with.
How good it must feel, to be free.
