Analysis of A Heap Of Sand

A HEAP OF SAND I walked along a heap of sand; I stand in the midst of a heap of sand. There are many heaps of sand. I ask myself questions about the heaps of sand; What is the cause of the heaps of sand? I played a part in heaping the sand. Live sand dug to bury dead sand. Live sand sheds tears uncontrollably, When heaping additional sand on the dead sand, The heap of sand could be a relative or friend. Why do we heap sand on them? Sometimes live sand visits Where dead sand is buried. They wonder and get lost, out of sight Of the sand they took part in heaping. We heap sand and leave it there, In a way they are. Why should live sand learn from dead sand? After heaping fresh sand on them. We dig and bury dead sand every day. Without understanding the way of germination Seeds that we heaped sand on germinate. We cry bitterly, knowing that What we are heaping sand on Wouldn’t germinate for certain. Only death knows what’s there, eating them up in that heap of sand. Dead sand were created human beings once. Like us, the living now in grief. Now they are a heap of sand, forgotten.

About this poem

Human beings are mere sand that are alive and quickly turn to heaps of sand when buried after death. Therefore we must humble ourselves and be measured treat everyone equally whilst alive. We are useless-a mere sand at death
