ऊब गोधडीची आईच्या जूनन्याची

कष्ट उपसले पोरांसाठी
रहूनिया प्रसंगी उपाशीपोटी
हसतमुख रहाती जगासाठी
झुंजली गरिबी सोबत पिलांसाठी ||

सोसले ते दुःख आतोनात
मानाने जगली आप्त स्विकियात
स्वच्छ मनतिचे शींपल्यातील मोत्यागत
स्वतःचे दुःख विसरली इतरांच्या
       आनंदात ||

मागणे तिचे आहे जगण्याच्या जुनन्यात
काही कमी न पडो मुलांच्या प्रपंचात
मानाने जगावे जन माणसात
कधी कमी न पडो देवापुढे तेलवात ||

किती लिहिले जरी आईसाठी
शब्दही अपुरे तिच्या त्यागापोटी
हाक मारण्या आई शब्दासाठी
पुन्हा जन्म यावा अशा आई पोटी ||
