Analysis of Mortal

Are we not but mare mortal that dare to think like gods
thoughts that are dread
we are subjected to the minds door's
lingering in the landscape of the dead

walk on waters like God's do
but breathing seizes under knee's
so terrified to walk in daylight
like creatures of the dark my life is short

we were deceived with beautiful lies
pain cloaked with opium-like bliss
we make wishes on bent knee
is freedom really free

is freedom actually free
or is it just an illusion
meant to blur our vision
religious tools as diversion

I'm just a fragile sprouts
they gave us too much by giving us nothing
then hang us by the ankle
untill our will fell out

White isn't a color no more
for its now mistaken for red
blood is now the new dawn
from Eastern to southern of  North
tears  fall
my blood spill too
the change that never came

mare mortal that dare to think like gods
carried away by gem's and gold
bare we walk in dirt and mold
far into the winter cold
