Analysis of Invictus
In life, happiness is not the only splendid virtue
eternal peace is the not only ultimate seeking of this life
This life asks for more, more than just happiness
she asks what is more than that
what lies beyond all the mirth and laughter
The voice whispered It is all the pain and suffering
The unforeseen agony
The torments in life that nobody asks for
“But how is it that this pain lies beyond happiness”
Yes it lies beyond happiness
When life gives you misery, there is a feeling that something inside you starts shattering,
Life brings you to path where there is no way beyond
All your endeavours push you further back
The sphere of life is broken in unmendable ways
The soul-piercing excruciating pains
Surrounded in water yet thirsty Tantalus
Autumn shedding each green leaf of hope
Lies beyond, the cold dark chills of winter
Anticipation like Penelope
Yearning of Odysseus
Dreams shatter,
The ends of longing meeting betrayal.
This Agony strikes once in one's existence
But when it does, all the problems in the world are small
“But how is this pain the ultimate seeking of life?”
The voice said Visible is the winter of despair
Disguised is the warmest summer that lies beyond,
There have been hundreds of summers but
After the winter of sorrow, the splendid virtue of life comes
The warmth of sun, lights exuberance like never before.
Giving Immortality to Penelope
The right path, the path that your heart directs
Every turn makes you question your choice
Uncertainty, humanly virtue.
The path of troubles urges
Endurance in one hand and perseverance in other
Past this, You stand Invictus
