Analysis of Except Staying Far Apart

Nancy Drew 2008 (Uttar Pradesh)

Except Staying Far Apart

The sound of your weeping                                  Still stabs my heart                                              Cause I know I can't do anything                    Except staying far apart

Once upon a time, I swore                           That once you collapse on me,                                I'll never let you fall again                                      But it's time to set you free

Believe me, I wish more than anything             That I could leave this world and die                  But my guilt doesn't let me be                Remembering your sobs and cries

If only I could tell you the truth                   Whatever I do, it's just for you                               My soul crumbles seeing you so broken                 I really don't deserve you

One day, when my time comes,                                I wish to see you smile at last.                           Until then I can't do anything                                                        Except staying far apart...
