Analysis of Bleeding hearts
A man's skin is no guest to scars,
The belly is used to the clenching feeling of hunger becoming an embodiment of weakness,
We are now surrounded by beasts who only speaks the language of gunshot and ear piercing screams of the poor.
Their hearts full to the brim with darkness,
Whispering sweet evils to the pure souls turning them into dry hearts and walking bones that only knows how to kill and hide like a shy shadow.
Yes life is an open battle field,
A plain wall smashed with blood fingerprints of this treacherous world,
That does not give them the right!
To blanket themselves with ambers of ignorance and selfishness together with lack of mercy combined with thorns of greediness spitting them harshly onto the world, erasing the last bit of humanity left in them,
That does not give them the right!
The right to cut the bravery of all the humans,
Splattering red liquids of the innocent breathing souls,
Cutting the future lineage,
Leaving humanity in fear of being the next on line,
Will there be no change?
Are we going to keep walking on the trail of numb light with little to no splitter of glitters?
Continue to hang our heads low with no certainty of tomorrow?
What can we do,
Hide in our shelves be speaking with no voice?
How can we be heard when we speak not?
But still! There is a spark of hope in our hearts that someday it will all change and become a history not to remember but to forget.

About this poem
It generally talks about all the misfortunes happening in North Nigeria. People being murdered, wounded, raped e.t.c and at the end of it, it talks about how we are all quite about it (especially our leaders) and hoe we still have a glinted of hope that things might change. no one has the voice to speak their mind, it's really upsetting and sad.
