Analysis of Waiting
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
I will take my stand at my post,
Station myself on the tower.
Waiting for the heavenly host,
Upon the appointed hour.
What I answer for my complaint,
By His faith the righteous shall live;
I am keeping on my constraint,
Because my past He did forgive.
Write the vision and make it plain,
So He may read as on my mind;
That I will righteously gain,
Showing Him that I am aligned.
The vision waits its assigned time,
Hastens to end and will not lie;
Up to Heaven for me to climb,
Not to delay or wonder why.
Behold my soul is lifted up,
Within Him I shall be upright;
As I drink from the righteous cup,
And I remain as His delight.
