Analysis of Eternal promises
My soul pledged an eternity on a simple sheet of card
(It had a heart of pure true love with a statue I made of our souls)
Because I loved you from the start
And now the Gods say to let you go
You've body gone so long (oh)
They say you found another now, one you've loved for long
You've dropped your pledge to me now in a gutter far away
A place I stopped passing by to watch your love so hopefully
Now I have loved more lovers, found and lost soul mates again
But I know if I left your pledge my first love, I will never be the same.
