Analysis of Slump in sleep.

FEYRUZ 1996 (Malindi)

Sleep;
the thing that brought you back your energy
I hated it these days
I hate the nightmares I get
when I get into just enough deep sleep
I'd wake up in a jolt
or wake up tired and with an ache
how do I?
Get off the bed
when I have this pain
this emptiness
this aching all through?
Sometimes I'd wish to stay in bed
not move a finger
not blink an eye
stay still and have all my (pain)
leave my body
to a clean soul
I want to wake up to
All this is just but a dream
it's a fast-paced world
Can't stay still in bed.
I wish I could not hate anymore
Sleep.

About this poem

The times that our minds reject sleep. The very hard times that we can't afford to lose some sleep, yet our minds can't allow us to sleep. The need for some sleep be so dire to help us heal and move, yet we can't get any.
