Analysis of Nothing more than a Memory

A silent world exists somewhere,
A lonely planet in need of repair.
With deep dark craters like deep dark scars,
And the somewhat black sky scattered with faraway stars.

A confused world exists somewhere,
A divided planet in need of care.
With one side in day and the other on night,
Why do we always keep looking for something bright?

A frightened world exists somewhere,
A dying planet plunged into despair.
With a hungry star unsatisfied,
And the star grew to an unbelievable size.

Trying to escape for something free,
Ridding of what was, what is and what would be.

A forgotten world existed once,
But now its nothing more than a memory.

About this poem

I wrote this poem after i went stargazing with a boy i met for the first time. Laying on the grass we talked about the universe and life in general. It was too good to be true so i decided to put it into words. I hope you like it :)
