Analysis of My heart, my mind, my soul.
My heart, my mind, my soul baptized by poetry
Immersed by poetry I am transported
Dancing with Wordsworth’s daffodils,
Reunited with my Annabel Lee
I wander o’er city and sea and land
My heart, my mind, my soul
Filled with the dramatic, daring diction
The tantalizing, thrilling themes
The snaking structure
The imagery that immerses and invades
My heart
My mind
My soul
My heart is lifted by the fleeting pages of a journal
As I soar through the skies, on the wings of poetry
My mind is sweetly suffocated by the endless stream of syllables
As the barriers are broken and my eyes are opened
I see the truth of rainbows,
how they are made and why they go away,
The truth inked onto my soul
by poetry’s picturesque needle.
