Analysis of Just her innocence ?

Sitting beside the window and scrolling through my phone

I came upon some recent  news which made me question myself

That is innocence a weapon or a weakness?

Is freedom for a girl still a desire or a right ?

It was just her innocence , still she suffered from pain

She had a filthy hand on her , it wasn't of someone she knew

And now She is  scared of every hand on her even if she knew

She was afraid of the voice she heard, again who was it ?

Which made her scared of every brutal voice around her !

She was harassed by a group of men on the way back from school

And now she was forced to make up her mind to never leave alone

All her desires and wishes were at the brink of passing in the vain

She wanted to roam on the street at midnight  which is now like a jail

It's the voices in her ear letting her bow down everywhere

And the haunting  scenes not allowing her to roam anywhere

She still questions herself , why was she harassed or molested ?

Was it because she was beautiful or was it her innocence!

The men who  accused her is now hiding somewhere

But the girl ,the victim is flashed on the screen everywhere

It isn't easy for her to forget whatever happened with her

He humiliated her and made all her desires seem like it's blur

But she didn't forfeit , she still wants to stand up against such men

She wants to make her innocence not as a weakness but as a strength!

But are people there to support her ?

Should we force her to  accept the reality of the world?

Or should she try to change the reality of the world?

I still ask myself was it just innocence leading to all the above events?
