Analysis of Reach into heaven

Heather Lydia Thornhill 1981 (Manchester)

I close my eyes as I hear your words,
to stop the tears as they transmute pain
I reach into heaven and bring you home
but you say now you are all alone again
So I put you back on your cloud once more
and hope my heart can close its door
And I think of the times our bodies touched
Oh how I love you so very much
