Analysis of We lack this

As time passes
I realize the masses
Gather to enlighten the
Ignorant amongst the classes

Hoping to inspire
The Collective conscience
Alas,
We lack this

Evolution slows down
And time…
It happens

Minds go blind
Eyes cradled in blackness
Sleep comes to few
The rest, too distracted

Lacking dreams to follow
Nightmares run ramped

It always seems dark
Declares
A pale boy impacted
