Analysis of Home.

Home feels like a place and
looks like a person.
City scapes on a dark night
or the canopy shining.
It fills my soul, gives me air,
to breathe and to exhale
all that weighs down in this heart of mine.

Home,
is not just a word,
its the whole universe,
in those eyes of yours.
Rain is what i want.
Petrichor is what i need.
Pouring down, shrills and gasps,
the wind hushes me, the sight of you!

I feel lost,
solitude never felt so lone.
I whimper, lost in this crowd.
Chaos suffocates me,
words stops short, tongues tied,
i dream of you.
Take me back home,
Take me back to you.

Home is not an abode,
its you in all its forms.
The weaknesses, the deep kept fears,
the hugs and those kisses,
the tears and all those smiles.

Its you with all the flaws,
the laughter, and that love that I fell for.
the perfections in those imperfections
I'd come to you
than anywhere else,
Cause I've got nowhere to go,
Than to go home.

Take me back home.
Take me back to you.

About this poem

This poem examines the idea that home is not just four walls. Home is love. Home is peace. Luckily for some, home maybe a person.
