Analysis of Eternity Has No End

I hate to feel the pain of others
To stand inside their shoes
Because I know what hopeless is
So, I don’t get confused

I’ve been there way too many times
And so close to the edge
I’m glad I didn’t slip and fall
Or jump off of that ledge

It wasn’t really death at all
That I was truly seeking
But just an end to all the pain
So full that I was leaking

And yet I couldn’t shed a tear
My heart was hard and cold
I only had one simple prayer
God don’t let me get old

I see He even answered that
And gave me what I asked
I’m sitting here at fifty-four
Younger than in my past

But now I’m crying all the time
I feel the pain of others
I weep for all my relatives
And all my many brothers

If I keep going on this Way
With Jesus by my side
No one can ever stop me now
I’ll continue on my ride
