Analysis of To My Son
To my monster, my world, my little boy
Finding out I was pregnant I was full of fear and joy
The day I realized that I needed you
was the day you saved me before you even knew
You were brought into this world before your father and I were ready
I work hard so your life will be steady
My sweet boy now you're almost two
There's nothing in this world I wouldn't do for you.
To my son, you are a blessing that I don't deserve
For you I have a lifetime to give you the world.
