and my heart filled with joy
you said that you loved me
I thought for just a minute
maybe you were being coy
you said that you loved me
but i was just a toy
you said that you loved me
and so many beautiful things
you said that you loved me
but I never saw a diamond ring
you said that you loved me
yet never did you call
i waited and hoped and anticipated
until shadows blue
appeared on my wall
you said you loved me
but in time you slipped away
you didnt want love but a pawn
and i had to come take that away
you said that you love me
and all that it imposes
but never once
did you send me flowers or roses
never did we drink
the sweet nectar of wine
you never intended to do anything
but were so sincere about lying
you promised you promised
until you used up all your worlds
you promised you promised
words were all I ever heard
you said that you loved me
but it was I who gave everything
you said that you loved me
and my heart did a stew
you said that you loved me
what was the matter with you:?
you said that you loved me
you left me alone and hurt
you said that you loved me
and now I'm yesterdays dessert
you said that you loved me
and now I'm shattered and hurt
you said that you loved me
and left me forlorn and blue
you said that you loved me
so fuck you
