Analysis of Dear childhood friend,

Dear childhood friend,
remember how we used to play,
why did it have to end?

I miss the days spent
in our treehouse, the way we carelessly lay,
dear childhood friend.

the secrets shared with no offend,
the strawberry cake on your birthday
why did it have to end?

I’d look forward to the weekend
your silly jokes would make my day,
dear childhood friend.

Adventures, shared CDs, I don’t want to contend.
Our spot at the nearby cafe,
why did it have to end?

All other friendships, ours transends,
I’ll love you forever, forget you, no way.
Dear childhood friend,
why did it have to end?
