Analysis of WAR
Raquel C. Hernandez 1977 (Hialeah)
Muddled ringing in my ears,
Can't speak scared they might hear
For if they hear me will my words be nothing more than other misunderstandings...
I wish to just leave as fast as I am here
Tears burn my eyes
My heart wants to pound out my chest, and
It tells me to give up on it all...
With my pack always with me
With my war paint always on
With my hands dug in deep
And with my human heart on my sleeve as they say...
I take a good look at my FAMILY and prepare for one more day in this big WAR called LIFE!
