Analysis of Walking to My Next Stage

Feelings when entering the edifice
Feelings while sitting in a chair with others
My name was called and stood up
Shaky hands were touching a book
Anxious, terrified, scared, and worried
Walked up to the stage and bowed

Bright color of the light blurred the audiences’ face
Sat on a chair and put fingers on the key
Inhaled and exhaled, then relaxed myself
Pressed the first key while my mind was an earthquake

Each key sound made both hands shaky
But played like nobody was watching
Pressed the last key with emotions
I stood up and bowed with a smile on a face
With relief, I left the stage with more courage for the next concert
