Analysis of Still friends

We barely know each other
Because we just met
You are my long lost friend
I can never forget
Friendship so deep
You did not believe
But now that we are friends
I don’t want to leave
You said you didn’t mind
Us being friends forever
And if we were not friends
We would still be together
You loved me as a friend
And that was the best
Not lovers just friends
No more no less
If this was anything else
I would go insane
So hold my hand and give me a hug
It will erase the pain
I like this friendship
Cause it has come so far
As long as we are friends
I’ll never forget who you are
