Analysis of Hidden Agenda

Time has taken me,
A long way away
From the truth that I fail
To reveal each day.

I try to convince myself
To live with the pain
That my thoughts conceal
Again and again.

So I want you to read
My hidden agenda
And I want you to feel
The silence within.

This pain I live, most of you share
Silence is an addiction
You try and protect, the one’s you love
All with good intention.

But nobody is reading
My hidden agenda
And nobody feels
The silence within.

It’s not selfish and it’s not greed
To risk that one step higher
Temptation tips you over the edge
To want what you most desire.

I hope one day you understand
And allow me to continue
Coz everything I’ve sacrificed
Has been because I loved you.

So I hand over to you
My hidden agenda
And I want you to feel
The silence within.
