Analysis of A ray of hope in the darkness

Lost in my own thoughts
Thinking about what the destiny has brought
Not exactly what we wanted
People are still cruel and that's abhorrent
It's sick how they seek pleasure out of killing
It's absurd that some might think this is thrilling
It's the epoche of war,of hatred,of brutality.
Oh I almost forgot , it's not an epoche
It's been a lifetime and the end doesn't seem to approach.
I sought solace in the past of Humanity
But then I remembered how it never really ended.
Maybe I'll find my asylum in the future,in a hopefully brighter and happier chapter.
Peace is all I'll find and there'll be no more disasters
Will humans finally stop their battles?
Will our world eventually be kind and fair?
I truly wish so,  for all i need now is a glimpse of hope in the era of despair.
