Analysis of Life's Greatest Struggles
Tis like your stranded on an island
Land is just in sight
But between stretches an ocean of challenge
Oh, what a fright
And beneath the ocean lies the seaweed of worries
Ready to drag me down
Tis like wings of hope cut from my shoulders
For then I could've flown

About this poem
I made this vent stuff meant to represent worries and struggles of anxiety and depression. Basically its about your problems being so deep you feel stranded on an island, and your hopes and dreams are land that you see right infront of you, but inbetween stands challenge. And underneath is the seaweed that represents fear and anxiety. Like if you try to accomplish your hopes and dreams, if you dare try to swim across that great big ocean, It may grab you and pull you down. The wings of hope is meant to be a metaphor for feeling hopeless. The wings represent hope, and it is like your struggles have cut those wings off. It means that with those wings of hope, you could've flown across that ocean of challenge, but with those wings cut from you, the struggle is harder. more »
