Analysis of Assumptions And Disbelief

I am guilty.
Yes.
And I confess admittedly.
No longer do I protest,
My innocence to know it...
Has had my own delusions to digest.

You see,
Judge and jury.
And others living to witness my guilt.
So long and most of my life.
I admit being guilty of denial.
Yes.
I had been taught as a child,
By those would teach.
There is justice for all.
But that justice for 'all' did not apply to me.
Or others of shown ethnic diversity.

You see,
Judge and jury...
And others observing my guilt from birth.
I had been guilty of having,
The audacity and nerve to think...
As a human being I would be treated equally.
Assuming I did,
Since I walk the Earth...
My skin color had worth.
More than the dirt thrown in my face.

You see,
Jury and judgment passers.
I had no idea,
My being taught to be of discipline,
Respect.
With a pride, identity and dignity expressed.
I would also be treated that very same way.

But today?
I am not convinced,
What others have shown to me...
With their teaching to be taught,
Hatred, division, conflict and bigotry...
Done to expect me to accept,
Their absence of consciousness...
That disrespects my ethnic self.
I admit to confess my guilt,
Of assuming as a human being...
Others would see me,
Like they would see themselves.
To discover this to delude,
Has been a guilt...
Of my own reflective assumptions!
