Analysis of Missing You

I made a swing from the soft clouds,
where I hang upside down,
gazing at the Earth below,
searching for you.

I comb valleys, streams and plains,
seas and city streets,
mountains, hilltops,
forests, deserts, caves and canyons.
I seek you,
for I have missed you,
all my life.

Where can you be?
Do you hide?
I long to hear your voice,
lay my hand upon your face.
I want to know who you are,
for I have missed you all my life.

I probe with the stars at night,
hanging from my swing as I stare below.
Listening, softly, gently, for your heart beat,
to let me know where you are,
for I have missed you all my life.

I travel the Earth using my senses,
feeling the sway of trees, song of birds,
roar of lions, peaceful chatter of dolphins,  
soft step of the ants.
waves crashing against the shore,
I feel it all....

I wonder, do you not see me?
Glistening under the stars at night,
hanging from my swing of clouds?

There I am for all the World to see,
and yet,
It is only your eyes I breathlessly await,
for I have missed you all my life.
