Analysis of Joy in Trials
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
Count it all joy in your trials,
Meeting trials of varied kinds;
No matter of what the styles,
Temptations would be driving minds.
It tests your faith as you should know,
As faith produces steadfastness;
Faith will work patience that will show,
Your endurance submits staunchness.
Let steadfastness have full effect,
As complete and lacking nothing;
So that your response is perfect,
Letting patience your faith will bring.
If any wisdom that you lack,
Talk to God in prayer you should ask;
Who generously responds back,
That lets you to confront the task.
In your faith without any doubt,
Like a sea wave driven by wind;
It will never be tossed about,
Having faith that is disciplined.
Let not man think he shall receive,
Something requested from the Lord;
If they do not truly believe,
Thinking his request is ignored.
He is a double-minded man,
Unstable in all of his ways;
A weak brother having no plan,
If brag and be the one that strays.
Wealth in his humiliation,
Like the flower to pass away;
Will die from the dehydration,
From a scorching sun of the day.
