Analysis of The Times

“The Times”
Silent I will stay no more,
As I begin to see the Third World war.
A war not battled with weapons and guns.
This one will be battled between our loved ones.
Friends who were friends forever it seems,
drew a line in the sand now stand as enemies.
Families where the bond of love was so tight,
now stand apart between masks and windows they fight.
Neighbors who shared food, laughter and cheer,
build bigger fences from each other in fear.
Is this the world we envisioned to see,
as we were kids and dreamt of a future to be.
The world has taken a turn for the worst,
mankind now battles a war of the firsts.
A great deception has befallen upon the Earth,
now everyone is challenged to question their worth.
Where do we stand between right and wrong,
and where do we know where the line is drawn.
We look at the events of the day and see,
A world divided against each other it will be.
A path was placed before us which many are taking,
the other path leads to the Great Awakening.
I have chosen my path rightly indeed,
as Love as my guidance and my heart as the seed.
The path I have chosen is to Love everyone,
no matter of the choices each one has done.

About this poem

Inspiration came from many sources for this poem. It was inspired by the times the world is going through. But the words truly only flowed through me and not from me. As it was written in under two hours.
