Analysis of Today Is A Good Day
Paul Weaver 1964 (Virginia)
Today is a good day for me don't you see.
Cause I'm going home to my kin folk you see.
It's been a long time since I was home.
But now I'm ready no more to roam.
My blues have lifted cause I'm homeward bound.
I left when mother pasted away.
I just had no reason to stay.
So I packed up and hit the road.
And I rambled and rambled on and on.
I had no place to go,and no one to see.
Just a fever to move on down life's road.
Well I've traveled all around.
Looking for a life that would fit me.
As i get closer to home i find myself looking around.
I see as a child where I used to play.
Today is a good day for me don't you see.
Today is a good day for I'm finally home.
