Analysis of Murderer
Uberu Abidemi 1988 (Lagos)
I've been put on trial,
Cuffed and stood before my lord.
My crime,
I have not the faintest idea.
The cuffs fit perfectly though,
And all too familiar
Cos I have felt cuffed almost
All my life.
That's why I had to
Murder them,
Murder all of my memories,
And bury them far from freedom.
"Guilty as charged"
I heard my lord muster,
Though my crime,
I have not the faintest idea.
