Analysis of A FIRE BALL

A  FIRE-BALL  !

K R Balakrishnan

How you wished
Poems to shower on prose fields
While hypocrites started spreading
White cloths of clouds everywhere
And stood giggling.

How you wished
For a pink sun to bid farewell
To taste sweet secrets
Lying inside the tiny heart
Of a shiny lotus !

They showed you golden stars
They lifted you to a sky serene
They promised you sweet dreams
And you got tantalized...

When you came nearer
Your eyes were slammed
With thick smoke inside
A frozen den of delirium.

Then you saw a fire-ball
In the east , coming up
A fire-ball of  transformation
A Ray of light summoning you.

As you looked and looked
That ray too died out
Changing into a melted smoke
Filling the nine holes of your body!
