HORROR VERSES:
DAGON’S BELL
Dagon’s bell ringing
Calling Deep Ones from below;
Monsters of the deep
Summoned by an ancient god,
Dragging people to their doom.

CRIES OF DISTRESS
Cries of great distress
Resound in the gloomy night,
Shrill shrieks of horror
As some unknown victim feels,
The chill grip of sudden death.

AN EVIL AMBIENCE
Evil ambiance
Atmosphere full of tension,
Terror slowly mounts
Your senses overwhelmed by,
Feelings of imminent doom.

HORROR FROM THE DEEPS
Horror from the deeps
Beasts from some watery world,
Dreamt of by no man
Come visiting the seashore,
Dragging swimmers to their doom.

ALL HALLOWS EVE
On All Hallows Eve
Witches ride the sky on broomsticks,
Werewolves and vampires,
Goblins, ghosts, and ghouls seek out,
Human beings to torment.

ATMOSPHERE HEAVY WITH GLOOM
Atmosphere heavy
With the gloom of evil days,
Desperation rules
The hearts, and souls and minds of,
People living in despair.

BLACK WATER
Black water thickened
By leaves and rotting debris;
Pine trees are swaying
Alarmingly like monsters
From some Lovecraftean tale.

THE CALM FOREST
The calm forest –- where
Once life had been plentiful;
There once were creatures
From insects to behemoths;
Now the forest is empty.

CRIES OF AGONY
Cries of agony
Ringing out one evil night,
Shrieks of great despair
Unbearable atrocities,
Performed on kidnap victims.

DARK MOON OVERHEAD
Dark moon up above
Evil hovers overhead,
Unholy presence
Orbiting a doomed planet,
Sending down death and madness.

DARK STAR
Dark Star in the sky
Evil deeds as yet undone,
Dark omen hovers
Many light years overhead, yet
Its menace is close at hand.

DARK OCEANS CRASHING
Dark oceans crashing
On black, barren, lifeless shores,
Under moonless skies
Giving us the feeling of,
A subterranean world.

DOWN BY THE RIVERSIDE
An unlit wharf hides
All manner of evil things,
Creatures of the night
Lurk in deep shadowy niches,
Awaiting the unwary.

HELL FROZEN OVER
Darkness and coldness
Not the heat of classic Hell,
Views of a kingdom
Of seemingly endless space,
A vast chilling emptiness.

LATE ONE EVIL NIGHT
Late one lonely night
Unsuspecting innocents,
Stroll the baneful streets
Blind to malignant evil,
Death creeping ever closer.

MIDNIGHT CALLERS
Midnight callers creep
Through a dark, lonely bedroom,
Unwary sleepers
Wake to discover horrors,
Moving slowly toward them.

MONSTROSITIES
Terrible beaked mouths
On creatures that love the dark;
Massive misshaped heads
Foul, reeking, putrified flesh,
On wriggling monstrosities.

NIGHT EVIL
Evil in the night
Horror on the midnight air,
Unearthly figures
Flitting through the evil night,
Hunting shrilling, pleading prey.

NIGHT EVIL BECKONS
Night evil beckons
Tall, hooded strangers shamble
Through dark, lonely streets;
Unsuspecting strangers wait
As death creeps ever nearer.

NIGHT URCHINS
Evil children prowl
Through the midnight alleyways
Darkness is their home;
Unsuspecting adults walk,
Up to the deadly urchins.

THE OMEN
A deadly omen
Hovering just overhead,
A portent of death
Lurking just out of vision,
Just out of sight of its prey.

PSYCHEDELIC TERROR DREAMS
Dire visions calling
Psychedelic terror dreams,
Descent into madness:
Bat-winged fiends with lethal fangs,
And talons, visit your room.

SAMHAIN’S MIDNIGHT RIDE
On Hallowe’en night
Living souls shudder, hiding;
Samhain’s midnight ride
Sees many people fall dead:
A sickle-wielding fiend strikes.
