Analysis of THE LITTLE BOY WHO WAS ALL ALONE
Dr. T. Pinnock 1962 (Hartford, Ct)
A little boy was all alone one day. Nobody liked him. Billy had dogs and one cat and goldfish. His mother and father had passed on. He had no brothers and no sisters.
Nobody liked him. He was not like everybody. He was good and other people were bad.
This man and woman was working by the boy’s house. The man went into the house. The boy said to the man go away nobody likes me. The man said, do you have a mother and father? The boy said, no, I do not have a mother and father. But, I would like to have a mother and father. The man said, we will take care of you. The woman said, what is your name? The boy said, my name is Billy.
Five years passed by Billy got bigger and bigger and he also had brothers and sisters. He was so . . . so . . . so . . . happy.
Five more years passed by and he met this girl. He said, let’s settle down. Let’s have some boys and girls. Their big boy’s name was Big Billy. He is 20 years old. There are three, one is Theodore Arthur, J.T. and Ray.
One day the woman of the house asked Bill when are we going to move. Bill said very very soon.
Big Billy said to his father. I am in love Dad you don’t understand that I am in love and lovesick. I want to marry this girl. The ten year old brother said why? Can I be like Big Bill because I like him. J.T. said you can’t be like Big Bill because he is bigger than you are. You can’t get married. But you can’t get married either, said Dad.
One day Big Bill thought back to when nobody liked him. But now everybody likes him. He went for a walk and he bumped into a little boy. The little boy was sad. Very sad. Big Bill asked him if he wanted to have a home a home. Big Bill really wanted to help this little boy like somebody helped him when he was a little boy. Bill was even more happier that he could help this little boy.
