Analysis of Dreaming Demons

Running through the darkness
Scared of the demons that are giving chase
Looking for a quick place to hide
Somewhere that's small & safe
So tired every morning when I awake
Because of the energy burned in my sleep
I've tried everything to keep the demons away
Even giving the lord my soul to keep
