Analysis of Silence

Yasmin Amico 1962 (London)

Silence in the wee hours of the morning
Silence  in the wee bewitching, luminal hours
Of a dark forested night
A sliver of light
Signaling dawn's awakening.

Time to meditate
To free one's  mind
To forget
Not to ponder
On things that
Will never change.

Or bad habits
That will not be broken
Because free will
Is so powerful.

Time to regroup
To refresh
To be still
To think, not
Time for silence.

Sweet silence
Oh, how I count
The hours
Oh, how I await Thee!
Like a lover's
Sweet embrace.
