Wow! This is a great community. This was my first time entering a piece of work and I really enjoyed reading all of the other entries. My poem didn't win nor did the poem I voted for, yet I still feel like a winner in being surrounded by you all.

Not gon lie this was very disappointing but I got nominated for two of my poems. I got discouraged and stopped writing poetry a while back . And entered off a whim cause I was going through a lot I would of loved to had won . It just makes me feel discouraged like I'm not good enough this just adds on to the theory . Nothing seems to go right for me at all

We all feel like this from time to time. It makes me work harder on my next submission. This is a very supportive community of people who appreciate each other’s poems, whether or not they are winning submissions. Please keep writing- I look forward to what you have to say.

      oh my my my
No no no. This is not a judgement contest
It is not about who is faster who is stronger or who is best. We are all poets with the gift to write from our heart.
We are all winners each time we share freely. Never allow a prize to discourage
You from expressing and sharing the gift you have been given. The treasures of life are found in the journey not the destination. Never confuse the value of a poem shared with monetary value..
Success and wealth is not measured by the money you have in your pocket.
Do not allow the material world to rule who you are or you may always find a disappointing journey. Thank you for writing and sharing! Write On!!!

I’ve finally finished reading all the great poems in the competition (just in time!). Just to say I’ve really enjoyed the process as is the case every month. It’s a privilege to behold so much individual talent of all different types. Good luck to all who took part!

I should have gotten permission first; But I took my choice,

Gave it an echoing voice …

Created a new poem a blend of two…
I hope you’ll see the inspiration you enflamed in me too.

Hi everyone! Just curious: who are your favorite poets? Mine personally are Emily Dickinson, Fyodor Tyutchev and W. B. Yeats—but I’m currently on a John Milton binge.

Poe? Hmm? I might have heard that name somewhere. Haha, kidding. Curious if you’ve read any Charles Baudelaire? He seems to me like a French version of Poe—dark but so talented.

I have heard of him but have yet to read any of his work. I'll do that now! I always enjoy reading dark poetry so thanks for the note

I think “The Sky” was one of my first (and consequently one of my favorite) poems of his I read. Boy oh boy, such a negative poem, but its literary beauty is irresistible!

I concur...although, "This Is Just to Say" is by Williams not Neruda...[not meaning to nitpick]

Good luck to everyone joining this month's contest, and congratulations to the winners of the last two competitions! I really miss the excitement and all of my good friends. I wanted to thank those who sent their well-wishes and healing vibes my way. I think I got so wrapped-up in red-tape and overwhelmed with everything, that I had to go into a 'total shut-down mode' for the past few months. I'm starting to come out of that now and hope to get some of my mojo back soon. I love you all and can't think of anyplace I'd rather be :)
