Only If She Was Mine

time i see them im drowning in despise,
she makes me want to cry,
her eyes tell their own stories,
ones i know aren’t lies,
the way she looks at him,
will never be the same as mine,
i don’t understand...

I was burning while you came blaming me for the smell of ashes,
blind to see you were holding the box of matches,
I was burning when you first laid your hands on me, tears filling my eyes,
as yours are unrecognizable,
I am struggling to break...
