I turned 60 February. I received mu AB English degree from the the University of the Philippines in 1987. I have been working mostly in the print media since then. Some of my poems have been published in Philippine magazines and newspapers. I have a book--Muddling Through Middle Age: 250 Sonnets-- hoping for publication.

Villanelle for a Different Season

I wear a mask, and also wash my hands.
I do not engage and do not react.
I still look for someone who understands.

I live in a time of infested lands
Because of government’s infernal pact.
