Up there I hear his noise
The rustling, turning
There the leaves fall and turn to orange
A tom sings his mating ritual
A call heard for eternity
Quiet is what I hear...

Probably never held me
She calls my name
I can feel the warmth
The prickling on my skin
Her eyes are wide
A bit forgiving

Have to be quite
Don’t wake the sun
Too early makes trouble
Yet she forgave me
