The Ghosts That Have Not Died

They give what they do not possess anymore And carry themselves up or drag their mass along the floor
They support the sad souls that cry and weep
Even though no one was there when they were weak
Shells of people, once filled with vitality...

I agree. I think there should be judges reviewing these poems too because there’s probably a lot of poems that no one read as a result of letting random inexperienced poets vote (including myself as I grew tired after the 40th poem

I like the feeling and connection to an animal as a reference of freedom, whether it be emotionally, physically, or mentally, the bird is a beautiful symbol of life and freedom.
