Poems »

I'm the sole traveler on a lonely road. The sun never rises here. I'm so far removed from light that darkness is now a welcomed companion. But there is one source of light. It burns deeply inside my heart. It is the spark of my life and I will not let it be extinguished.Age: 23 Feel: 45 Home: Florida Inspirations: Love, Life, Truth and God Loves: Music, chocolate, sunshine, laughter Hates: Lies, loneliness, deathThings others have said about me: I'm too smart for my own good. I'm very mature for my age. I'm crazy. I'm caring. I can have a bad attitude. I'm different. I'm talented. I talk too much. I should smile more often.About Writing: I have loved writing since I first learned how to do it. I have excelled in the areas of language arts and reading my whole life. I love to do it. It's therapeutic for me. My poems have come a long way since the days of "Roses are red, violets are blue." But are no literary masterpieces. I write what I feel the best way I know how. My poems are as imperfect and passionate as I am.To those reading this: Assuming you've gotten this far, I want to tell you to keep writing. No matter what the emotion is, if you can find a way to put it into words, do it. Even if you don't feel like it do it anyway. Write until your entire soul is printed on scattered pages. Write when speaking words aloud is unbearable.Thank you for all rating and reviewing of my poems. You inspire me. -Ebony Hope
