We want what you've got

The lies pirouetted off your tongue.
Cascading from the serpents maw.
Words, so deftly chosen.
So carefully picked.
They flowed so smoothly,so creamily.
Such delicate words that crumbled away,
as soon as you thought we believed them.
It was like watching a marble statuette,
in a fountain.
Pretty words of silver and gold.
that were nothing more than embryonic lies for a better future.
Your greedy mandibles performed an abortion on the promise.
And ate the foetus!
The treaty means nothing.
It was never meant to mean anything!
The people were torn from their land again.
Taken from their grass covered womb.
And you, the fathers, walked away,
secretly washing the blood from your hands.
As you try to hide your secret smiles.
