The Best Place To Be

On a sunny porch watching lilacs dance,
in the glimmer of April's morning;
At the table with dear family and friends,
who take the time to come a' calling.
With your arms around your true love,
as he smothers you with kisses;
At the sandy shore where seagulls cry,
in the salty air of misty blisses.
In bed at night with the covers warm,
when there's a nightime chill;
On a drive through town on a windy day,
coasting softly down the grassy hill.
Watching teens play ball in the neighboring park,
eating hot dogs and french fries together;
And the winning run scored by your only son,
a fond memory you'll always treasure.
Waking up to the smell of bacon sizzling,
with eggs on the side so delicious;
Let's face it, life's been pretty good,
the best places forever precious !
